Long-distance birthday gifts
Different cities. Still their birthday.
Make a little escape filled with the memories and terrible jokes that keep you close. They can open it wherever the day takes them.

Build a birthday around who they are.
Choose a photo that always makes them smile, a list of their familiar quirks, or a book that reminds you of them. Castaway Cove gives those details a sunlit place to discover before the birthday note.
You do not need a grand surprise. A warm message from someone who knows them can make the experience personal.
Leave room for their day.
Send the invitation through your own messaging or email app. Try a simple introduction: “I made you a little birthday escape. Open it when you have a quiet moment.”
The recipient needs a browser and internet connection, with no UFAAFU account. You can arrange to open it together on a call, but they do not need to be awake or online at the same time as you.
Try a birthday from far away.
In the birthday example, Alex makes an island for Sam, leaves a few favorite moments and ends with a birthday note: “Here’s to the person who makes ordinary days feel like sunshine. I wish I could be beside you today. Until then, this little coast is yours. Happy birthday. Love, Alex.”
They explore a digital island at their own pace, with a few personal keepsakes leading to the birthday message.
A free gift, wherever you are.
Castaway Cove and The Night Train are free. Premium paid worlds are coming soon. Take time to preview the invitation and check that your message is right before sharing.
